In utter disbelief, I have watched as wildfires have ravaged Los Angeles and the surrounding areas this week, including my hometown of Pasadena. Like countless others, I spent yesterday helping to evacuate friends and family. It is an incredibly difficult time for all of LA, and our hearts go out to everyone who has been directly affected.
One group that is close to our hearts at inKind is the restaurant community. Restaurants provide jobs and support livelihoods and also foster the unique culture and spirit that make communities so special. But in times of crisis, the restaurant industry often suffer losses in stages—both immediately and for months to come. Many local restaurants have already been forced to close temporarily, while others that face significant damage and lost revenue may struggle to ever recover.
We at inKind want to extend our support to the restaurants in our community who need it most. If you would like to join us, we’ll be sending the proceeds from inKind Fire Relief E-Gift Cards purchased on this page directly to the most affected LA-based restaurants in our network. It’s a simple and effective way for you to help raise funds to support the restaurants and their employees who are working so hard to support our community. We will continue to work with our restaurant partners in LA to ensure they have the resources they need to rebuild and recover in the coming weeks and months. Our goal is to ensure that these incredible businesses can weather this storm and emerge stronger.
